Ok so I though up this little computer prank that you can play on windows users. Sorry Mac people. I made a video on how to do this a while back but people found it to be confusing. I think it will be a little easier to explain here.

1. Open Notepad: Start>All Programs>Accessories>Notepad
2. Paste or type the following into notepad:
   @echo off
   :Flag
   echo Haha you got hacked > c:\users\albert\desktop\1.txt
   rename c:\users\albert\desktop\1.txt %random%.txt
   goto :Flag
3. What’s going to happen is the command prompt will open up and will generate a text file named “1″ containing the text “Haha you got hacked” on the desktop. Then it will rename the file with a random number. It will do this incredibly fast, so fast even that it will almost immediately start to encounter errors because it runs across duplicate numbers
4. You can replace “Haha you got hacked” with whatever message you want it to say inside the text files however they will all say the same thing.
5. The line “c:\users\albert\desktop\1.txt” will need to be edited by you. The easiest way to do this is to right click on a file on the desktop and then select “Properties”. From there look for “Location” Hilight and copy+paste that in place of “C:\users\albert\desktop” but leave the “\1.txt” there. So it may look like this:
   echo Haha you got hacked > c:\users\Loginname\desktop\1.txt
   OR for most XP users it may look like this:
   echo Haha you got hacked > c:\documents and settings\loginname\desktop\1.txt
6. Make sure you have the same location on lines both 3 and 4
7. ONCE YOUR DONE EDITING IT CLICK ON FILE>SAVE AS>NAMEOFFILE.BAT
   You must save the file you created in notepad with the extension .bat or this will not work.
   
8. For an added bit of fun create this on your friends computer and then leave it going while hes goine or paste a copy of it into the startup folder in the start menu.
9. The resulting file should looks something relatively similar to this:

So when I first started to look at computers for college I saw my first EeePc on Cnet reviews and thought it was rediculous. Why would somebody want such a low powered computer with such a small keyboard and screen. However when they came out with the new 901 model that had a gig of ram and a larger screen I started to actually think about it.

However at the time I had a ThinkPad that I liked so much that I couldn’t possibly resist getting another more powerful one to replace it. So I decided to get a ThinkPad T61p by Lenovo.  The ThinkPad I got is a powerhouse with a 2.6Ghz Dual Core processor, 4gb of ram, 200gb hard drive spinning at 7200rpm, and 256mb of descrete graphics. It’s got a 15.4 inch screen though so it’s a little big to be bringing to my classes all the time. I like to take notes and also be able to get online at the same time when in class.

So I put up my old laptop on craigslits to sell it and the same day I get an offer for it Katie’s tells me her mom want’s to buy it. So I cancel the deal with the random person and sold the laptop to Katies mom which I’m really gratefull for because I’m not even sure if the other lady was going to go through with it :p

I used the money I sold it for plus some money I got for returning some school books and my dad pitched in the rest as a birthday gift (it was on Thursday by the way) to get me an EeePc 1000H. It has a 10 inch screen, an small keyboard (80%) of a normal keyboard, 1gb of ram (I got a 2gb stick also), integrated graphics and a 1.6Ghz atom processor. The main thing is that it get’s about 7 hours of battery life. Or so Asus says. I’m excited to see what it can do but I don’t think I’m going to be typing any term papers on it. I’m so used to the keyboards on ThinkPads since there the best laptop keyboards. They feel just like normal desktop keyboards. Nothing like those rediculous HP keyboards(Katie) :p

Anyways I’ll definately be taking it around with me and using my ThinkPad more in my dorm room or if I need something more powerful. I’m so used to this powerhouse that it might take a bit of getting used to but I think I’ll be ok. I’ll write another post when I get it.

I know my last post wasn’t really relevant to anything that I have posted before but I just wasn’t in the mood to try to impress with my writing skills. So today I’m going to tell you about the food at SF State. I don’t know how it is anywhere else because I didn’t really visit any other campuses but here the food situation isn’t the best.

It started out fantastic. The food was great and everything was just peachy. However the quality took a steady drop. Everybody on my cross country team that had been through the freshman experience told me that it would happen like that, however I didn’t want to believe them. Turns out they were right all along. The fist week the food was great because the parent’s were still lingering around and calling every day to check in. The silly freshman would of course brag about how good the food is and how they can eat whatever they want and how it’s so much better than moms cooking.

This would impress the parent’s and they will think “My son is going to a good school. I’m going to tell everybody I know to send their kids to SF State!” Well maybe they aren’t thinking exactly that but they just wanted to impress the parents. One night we had prime rib and it was extremely delicious. So juicy and rare I could cut it with my fork. Just the way I like it. Also it’s a buffet system where you walk in, they swipe your card, and you go get food. There are the main course servers where people spoon food onto your plate. This usually consists of vegetables, protein, and starch.

There is also a middle island like thing were they always have pizza and pasta and rolls with butter and all the fixings. Also there is a salad bar where you can get pre-made sandwiches that are actually pretty good. I find myself grabbing them every once in a while. Now the pizza is good but only if you get it right when they put it out. This is not the pizza that is better when it’s cold.

The thing that has steadily declined in quality is the food at the main serving center thing where you get your main course. The food is looking less and less appetizing. I find myself getting pizza and French fries 2 meals a day. Breakfast is basically the same every day: eggs, bacon, and French toast/waffles/pancakes. Then in the middle place there is usually oatmeal or cream of wheat. The oatmeal looks a little funky so I have yet to try it but the cream of wheat is delicious! Also there are donuts and pastries every morning. I don’t normally have them but there pretty delicious.

Lunch we sometimes have burritos and those are quite good since you can just load them up with whatever you want. Now and again there is something good and desert is always good. There is a soft serve ice cream machine. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s the machines they have at restaurants or fairs where the ice cream spirals upwards and is soft and good! Sometimes they give out sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles to put on them which are amazingly good. There is always fruit and soup out too which is nice but they seem to have stopped serving chocolate milk which I’m a little disappointed about. I used to get that every day but now I’ve moved on to getting orange juice!

All in all the food isn’t that bad. I almost always get ice cream as I’m leaving as do many people. You have to leave your bags on shelves at the door so stealing whole rolls of bagels is out of the question… until I get my giant jacket out that is. I’ve been told that it’s been done and since me and Armando have a toaster in our room were plotting to steal some bagels. So our cafeteria isn’t bad and it’s all you can eat so my verdict is that it’s a good place to eat but not great.

I was sitting here thinking about what I should blog about. Ideally what I write should be interesting, amusing, and attract a lot of views. At the same time I was talking to my girlfriend Katie. Then it struck me: I’ll blog about her. So this blog post is all about Katie and maybe me too if I happen to come up once in a while.

So anyways let’s get started! I don’t think I’m going to follow a timeline or an order or anything. I’m just going to say whatever comes to my mind. So the first time I met Katie was at track practice. This was the first time I actually interacted with her. I probably told her to not stop or something cause I was always trying to encourage others to run more :p Of course she just giggled and walked a little faster. Then the first time she actually talked to me was after practice one day at Brendan’s house (my friend who’s also on the team). Allie (Katies sister), Olivia (friend), Brendan, and I all went to Brendan’s house to eat a cake that we baked before practice. It was just something that we did occasionally. Actually our friend Kelson baked the cake and he came later to eat some. That day Katie was wearing neon green knee socks that I though were really cool. I wanted to get some to run in.

That was when she first met me and we actually talked. I thought she was cool. According to her, the first time she saw me she thought I was a cool person and she joined track just to get to know me/meet me. Creeper status right? Well I don’t mind. It seems like it worked out all right. I wish she stayed on track though. Anyways we became fast friends via MySpace and Facebook. The first message she sent me started a MySpace message conversation that is still going today that has’t stopped. Were thinking of making it into a book.We didn’t hang out too much but when we did it was fun and slightly spontaneous. The first time we really did anything together was on a camping trip for Allie’s birthday. She came along and we hung out there and I thought her about T9. Then I found out she had a boyfriend and was a little sad.

So I would see her at school and around there sometimes and that was fun! I burned her a CD for her car so when I was in it I could listen to it. She lost it though. One day she was driving me home from school because she’s super cool and we stopped at the swing near my house and we swung for a while. That was super fun! We had another adventure there and she hurt her feet but she thinks she was totally hard core so it’s cool now I used to wait in the doorway of my stat’s class so when she walked by I could talk to her. That sounds like creeper status but I dunno she was cool. One day I had a big container of red licorice and I offered her some. Yeah I had to bribe her to talk to me :p

Anyways so one day we were both online super late and I was like I’m really hungry and she was too and then I was like “We should go to TacoBell” and she picked me up at four in the morning and we went to Taco Bell but it was closed so we got really gross McDonalds breakfast’s… When I was on my way back from Tahoe where I was staying with Allie, Brendan, Olivia, and Sarah I found out she had broken up with her boyfriend. However she wasn’t allowed to hang out with me

Later we started to talk more and hang out more and I think we both knew that we liked each-other but neither of us made a move. Hey I’m shy, my bizzle. That and I was under the impression that Katie would lead guys on so I didn’t want to just be shot down. It was kinda confusing but the one day I asked her to visit me in San Francisco. So she came down and stayed the night and we had a super ton of fun! The next morning I asked her out and she said yes! I was super happy

Now her sister Allie hates my guts and I’m pretty sure if get within reach she would rip my jugular out and feast on my blood. Her best friend Reina doesn’t approve of me… yet. She’s going to get used to me cause were twins and have the same birthday!  Anyways were happy and are currently planning a trip to Disneyland/road-trip for Christmas break which is going to be like the most awesome thing ever! She absolutely loves Disneyland especially around Christmas and I think it’s quite dandy so I’m super excited! Especially since I get to go with Katie. Anyways I hope you like the pictures and all that jazz :p I may write another piece if you guys want to know more about Katie!

A lot of my friends have asked me how to download music. So I have made a video or two on how to do so but I’m going to write it up for you here. Please don’t comment me saying that I’m telling you how to illegally download music. I have enough experience to know whether or not what I’m telling you about is legal or not. I’ll explain later.

1. Get torrent client by following this link http://utorrent.com/index.php and click on “Get uTorrent” at the top right. Download and install this program. uTorrent is an extremely lightweight and powerful torrent client.
2. Download a torrent file from a torrent website. www.thepiratebay.org is probably the most popular of the torrent sites and has the best user interface. Downloading torrent’s is perfectly legal but downloading copyrighted information is illegal. Be careful what you download.
3. Take note: be sure to look at the comments left on torrents to make sure it is a legit file and not a virus. Also make sure your running a firewall eg. windows firewall and a Anti Virus program eg. Avast(free). The more seeders the faster the download will go.
4. Oh and if your in college don’t download any illegal torrents. The internet you use on campus is probably monitored and you have a greater chance of getting caught.

So Katie was supposed to leave her house around 8-9 and she didn’t until 10:40 but that’s O.K. I can wait another 2-3 hours to see her… :(  Anyways she’s going to get here in a wee bit and I’m just going to save this blog and finish it after the day is complete!

Well I didn’t exactly finish it right away cause I kinda passed out. I was extremely tired :p Well here’s what went down. Katie finally got to San Francisco but called me while I was in the shower to inform me that she didn’t know how to get to my school. So she waited at Stonestown and I walked down to meet here there. Once I got there we hung out for a little bit talking and deciding what we wanted to do. She suggested that we go to the Zoo so we were off! We walked to her red Volkswagen Bug and drove to the Zoo with me giving directions. Once we got to the Zoo we proceeded to wander around looking at interesting animals.

I had Katie pose in front of several different boards with pictures of animals on them so that she looked like an eagle, a butterfly, and a peacock! We saw tigers, bears, penguins, and all sorts of other animals. No elephants though. I was a little disappointed. However Katie did climb a tree and we saw the most rare of all species: The Albert. Very rare and never seen in it’s natural habitat is contained in the unique “make your own exhibit” cage. Or at least that’s what I thought it was.

After the Zoo we ended up sitting in the car for a bit deciding what to do and then we decided to get food at Stonestown. So we went to Stonestown and I got a delicious Pinini and Katie got some Panda. After that we wandered around cause Katie was looking for a jacket but she didn’t find one. Then she went looking for sunglasses but couldn’t find any that she liked. They had a rather limited selection. After that we went to See’s and she got some candy for her mom and we got some of those delicious butterscotch sucker things. Then we went back to my room to watch A Night At The Roxbury since she had never seen it and I found that to be atrocious! However we didn’t finish it in time since she had to leave before 10pm. Oh well that guarentees me more time with her next time Oh yeah and I pinched a prairie dog!

I think it’s funny when people where camouflage clothing to pretend like you can’t see the part of their body that’s covered with the camouflage. Like if see your buddy wearing a pair of stylish camouflage pants and you approach him suddenly stop and scream “HEY! Where the hell are your legs!” When he gives you a strange confused look approach him, maybe touch his leg (stay low and to the side to avoid looking homosexual) and exclaim “Ohhhhhhhh. I couldn’t see your legs cause you were wearing camouflage pants. You just blend in so well with your surroundings.”

It’s even more amusing when the person is wearing camouflage clothing but it’s not your traditional colors. So there walking around with black and white camouflage in case you want to avoid your colorblind friend. That way you’ll just blend right in. Or somebody who wears multi colored camouflage so they can move around undetected at a gay pride parade.

I’m not making fun of people who wear camouflage clothing. I mean, who doesn’t want to be able to sneak around undetected like the little special forces guy to the right with no legs. In fact I have been looking to get my hands on a pair of camouflage pants myself but can’t seem to locate any… Anybody know where I can get a pair that won’t cost me over $15? Anyways I didn’t think this concept up on my own. I’m not that creative. Most of the credit goes to my Cross Country team, especially Kyle. If you haven’t met him you should, he’s a funny bitch.VS

So I have s little story I like to tell to my friends and they are always amused. I don’t know how this subject comes up but it seems to and people generally get a lot of laughs from it. O.K. here goes!

One day my brother frank was sitting around in his room doing some shrooms… I don’t know why he was doing this at home but I must have been out since I don’t recall any of this. Anyways he’s tripping out on shrooms in his room and suddenly, out from under the bed and out from the closet come the penis monsters. They have the ability to fly around and were smacking him relentlessly in the face and all over his body. I can’t imagine being slapped by a swarm of angry flying penis monsters but it can’t be plesant. In the middle of the fray one stops in from of him and yells “Make salad!” and my brother replies “What?” “Make Salad! Make Salad!” the penis monster screams back.

So my brother, not wanting to upset the penis monster runs downstairs and get’s a whole head of lettice out of the fridge and put’s it on the counter top and starts to cut it up. Salad is all over the counter and the penis monsters have followed him downstairs and are continuing to smack him. The penis that told him to make the salad then told him to toss the salad. So my brother starts to toss the salad on the  counter and the penis screams “Put oil and vinigar into the salad!” So my brother starts to toss some oil and vinigar into the salad that he’s preparing on the counter.

Now out of the blue the penis monster yells “Put your penis in the olive oil bottle!” Now at this point I would say NO to the penis deamons and take my chances since. After all to my recolection the openings to the olive oil bottles are not that big anyways… However my brother complies and sticks his penis into the olive oil bottle and apparently get’s boner. Now he’s got it stuck. So what I heard is that he got a knife and started to hit the bottle with it but that didn’t work so he just swung it at something and managed to break it without cutting his penis off… or did he?

Anyways when I first herd this story all I heard was that he shoved his penis in an olive oil bottle and got it stuck. Now when I heard that I though he was just doing it for fun but about 3 month’s later I heard the entire story and it all makes sense now. Granted it’s still weird, disturbing, disgusting, grotesque and all that jazz, it still makes for a funny story.  What did you guys think?

With Halloween rapidly approaching I’m constantly plagued with the question: What should I be? Now even though I’ll be 19 and in college I still plan to dress up because it’s most definitely going to be fun. I’m most likely going to be going back to Petaluma and since it’s on a weekend I’ll probably stay with Katie. Now as for what I’m going to be, it’s a tough decision. I’ve always been indecisive and it’s really annoying. However this year I’ve though about being a ninja? I mean I’m in San Francisco so I have access to China town and with that all the gear I could possibly imagine.

So I just browsed some pages online and by far the coolest costume I saw was the ninja’s from Batman Begins. However they seem to only be in Youth sizes and the adult ones just look lame. If anybody can find were I can get a good one for not too much please let me know! I might check the Halloween shop tomorrow when Katie comes down to visit and maybe China Town too. Depends on what she want’s to do. Should be a totally bad-ass costume though.

Ever have one of your friends tell you there going to kill you but in a playful way? Well if you have then I guess you know what it’s like to spend time my dorm room. It’s a mix of randomness and my roommate threatening to kill me, my children, or anything else really. I’ve gotten used to it and occasionally throw a threat his way once in a while but it’s a rare site to see. I figured out early that they key is to not take the threats too seriously for a few reasons:

1. He won’t remember. Let’s just face it, he makes so many he can’t possibly remember them all
2. He is to lazy to carry it out.
3. He’d get evicted or arrested.

He also says random words or phrases. Just the other day he asked what I would do if he turned into a raccoon and I immediately replied that I would have him put down. Not because I hate him and would like to kill him, but because raccoons carry disease and pestilence and should not be allowed in the dorms. Were only allowed to have goldfish actually. Anything else and you get in major trouble!

Going back to my last post about the fire alarms, somebody pulled the fire alarm this morning at 10:00 and again at 11:00. I was pissed because I was sleeping and I’m sick so I wanted to get lot’s of rest but now I can’t go back to sleep. Wow somebody just pulled the fire alarm again. No joke. Third time today and it’s 12:00. It’s like every hour a fire alarm goes off. We should find the jackass who keeps pulling it and have him drawn and quartered to save us all the time of going outside for half an hour since nobody knows if it’s real or not.

Ok this time they stopped the fire alarm after a minute and just made a announcement that it was a malfunction. I’m just happy I’m not on the upper floors since the elevators don’t work when the fire alarm goes off. They have to walk down six flights of stairs! And I can’t imagine being on the top floor of the towers dorm and having to walk down like 10-14 flights. Sucks for them but the view is probably pretty awesome.
